Norwegian Wood (Part I)

Yesterday, we went to Norwegian Wood...imagine this:

Sitting on a green grassy knoll, with giant hard wood trees full of green foliage and a slight breeze to your back, while thirty foot tall pylons of speakers blare good old American rock and roll. Of course they have the softer style of alternative music and soft rock, but that is for the older and younger generations. For us cool and hip people, the only thing worth losing our hearing over was some no BS Rock. Yes, many of you may have never even heard of Queens of the Stone Age (or Jimmy Eat World), but nothing we have experienced before encompasses American Rock and Roll like a lead singer, who has been seriously ill for three days, cussing out some little punk who threw a bottle at him while he was performing. Yes just imagine a 15 or 16 year old brat throwing a coke bottle at a rock legend. The words that followed would burn the hairs off the inside of your ears. But damn what a cool show! It wouldn't be rock and roll if someone didn't get offended by what was going on. Anyway tonight we are going to see the third day of bands with the headliners being a very popular Norwegian rock band named Madrugada (they have become very popular worldwide—multiplatinum selling band). (Yes they do sing in English, so don't ask later!) Ok folks, sorry to cut it short here, but entertainment beckons and rock n' roll doesn't wait for anyone so ROCK ON!

Maybe it’s not the concert or the venue maybe it is just the fact that people know how to behave in public (even when they are drunk)! That is how the Norwegian's throw a concert. With rock bands there are usually mosh pits and fights, but if you call a few teenagers pushing one another around a mosh pit then I guess that works. But personally, coming from Troy's perspective here, I was a little disappointed not to see any fights, but then again it was cold and wet and beer was 10$ a can, so after only a few you are out of money and not drunk enough to be really pissed off. All in all a great show, a great scene, and Betsy has finally attended a rock concert. Hope you all are well and we will attach some pictures soon.

So once again people remember put the pedal to the metal, rock hard and don't drink so much you can't remember the band you listened to the night before!!!!!! (Traditional rock n' roll proverb!)
